RSS is short for Really Simple Syndication, or in other words, a news feed generated automatically when new content is published.
There are many ways of reading these our feed. If you are using the latest web browsers like Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3 and Safari 4, RSS feed will show automatically at the end of the address bar as an orange icon.
Simply click this icon to bookmark the feed.
If you use news readers, you should be able to copy and paste the RSS location into your reader, and it will automatically update.
Well simply, it keeps you up to speed, without having to visit the website quite as often. If you see an update that interests you, you can click on the title and it will take you directly to that page. The best thing though? It's all free!
